Great Elephant Bird Egg, Aepyornis Maximus
Naturalistic plaster replica egg of the Elephant Bird, a truly magnificent marvel of nature. The largest egg ever to be laid by this flightless now long extinct species. Elephant Birds only ever lived on the island of Madagascar and stood over 3 m tall.
Rare original examples are highly prized and can mostly be found in museum collections. This egg is a plaster copy made from an original and retailed by the British museum.
